Description

Got a kid who thrives on the long run? The Middle Distance Squad at Yasmina trains athletes aged 8-18 in 800m, 1500m, and 3000m — racing strategy, pacing, and the mental edge that separates good runners from great ones.

Sessions run at Yasmina British Academy in Khalifa City, Tuesday evenings 6:30–7:30 PM. One focused session per week built entirely around middle-distance performance.

Your child learns to race, not just run. The squad develops competitive strategies for events including BSME and ADISSA competitions. Race positioning, pacing judgment, and endurance build progressively across the term. Running spikes are encouraged (not compulsory) to optimise training and performance. This is a squad for athletes who want to compete, not just participate.

Coaches at Athletics Academy are all qualified PE and Primary teachers, handpicked by founder Samir Yousuf for their knowledge, skill, and pastoral care. They understand what it takes to develop a competitive middle-distance runner — and how to keep young athletes motivated across a full season.

Athletics Academy has grown to almost 400 athletes across Abu Dhabi since 2015. Your child trains within a high-performance community that takes individual athlete development seriously.
