Want your child to truly understand music — not just play it? Music theory is the answer. Theory unlocks composition, improvisation, and a much deeper connection to every instrument.

Music theory lessons at The Music Hub cover everything from reading notes and rhythms to understanding chords, scales, harmony, and musical structure. Lessons run for all ages from preschool through secondary level. Beginners learn to read music and understand basic notation. More advanced students explore harmony, chord progressions, and compositional techniques. The internationally recognised curriculum gives every student a clear, measurable pathway forward.

Ms. Merlys Márquez Alvarez brings exceptional theory credentials to The Music Hub. A graduate with highest honours from one of Cuba’s top conservatories, she specialises in song composition and popular harmony — making theory lessons creative and relevant, not dry and academic. She was awarded Best Teacher at the Ernesto Lecuona Conservatory. Other faculty members weave theory into instrument lessons so students build understanding naturally alongside technique.

The Music Hub has been Abu Dhabi’s leading music school since 2014, partnering with Aldar Academies across the city. Private and group lesson formats available. Home lessons on request.
